wishlist - spring edition 2016

1 // Nine West T-Strap Heels // The pattern mix of the dots and stripes of these heels works together so well. They could really amp up a simple outfit or would look killer paired with a floral dress!

2 // Baublebar Honeycomb Ring Quad // Baublebar has definitely been a go-to for me when I'm looking for some cute jewelry. When I spotted this quad of honeycomb rings, I was so excited! They would look great worn one at a time, paired up, or with all four at once for a real pop!

3 // Rebecca Minkoff Mini Mac with Oil Slick Hardware // Ok, so black bags don't exactly scream spring, but the duochrome hardware on the closure and chain strap make this bag season-less and soooo fun! I've always liked the look of the Mini Mac bag, but I love the details on this one more than any other I've seen.

4 // Steve Madden Chunky Camel Heels // I like to think that I have a well-rounded shoe collection, but one pair that's missing is a neutral heel that can be dressed up or down and look perfect either way. These chunky heels would look great with both a flowing dress or a pair of denim shorts. I could see them being a staple for me this year.

5 // Express Blue Paisley Maxi Dress // Who doesn't love an easy dress that you can throw on an instantly look pulled together? I love this blue printed maxi dress for that, and I'm especially loving that slight slit up the front. It adds a touch of sass that a dress with this much coverage could lack.

6 // Ray Ban RB2180 in Brown Gradient // I'm definitely a Ray Ban addict and these light brown rounded sunglasses are calling my name. The soft color screams spring and their just asking to be worn while sitting outside with a cold drink in hand. Now that's spring.

What's your favorite piece from these picks? The weather is warming up and I'm itching to shake up my wardrobe! (Raise your hand if your sick of winter clothing!) Have a great week!

coffee table styling with chairish: edgy & vintage or playful & chic

Thursday, March 24, 2016

With spring on the way, I'm really looking forward to sprucing up my house. I was inspired by a couple of coffee tables from Chairish that I wanted to style in two different ways. If you're not familiar with Chairish, they're a website that allows people to buy and sell vintage furniture and accessories. They also take the time to approve everything that's being sold, so you know it's the best of the best vintage pieces and not just any old thing (no pun intended) that you're browsing through.

First up, is a industrial-feel table styled for the edgy girl who like a bit of one-of-a-kind vintage in her home. I love that this table has the simplicity of the wood base, with the industrial touch from the metal top. I'd love this in my home! To add some vintage flair, I'd place this Italian Hotel Balestri tray on the table and layer it with the black and gold coasters (love the deco feel!) and the skull planter. A stack of your favorite books or magazines of the moment topped with a sassy accessory like this silver dude (hilarious!) would look great right in the middle. Last but not least, rather than candles, tiny string lights held inside of bell jars would be stunning, especially at night!

My other inspiration came from this dark table with storage drawers. Although it has a more serious feel, you can definitely make it feel playful and chic with a few additions. This ferris wheel box caught my eye, just from how colorful and fun it is! It would be perfect for storage of tv remotes and topped off with a whimsical piece like this jack would add to the playful element of this style. Something about a glass chess set screams chic to me and would add a touch of sophistication to any room. Burning a candle at night in this geometric lantern would probably add a gorgeous glow from the flicker of the flame. Of course, you'll need coasters so you keep the table in great condition, and these white stone coasters with gold edging are the epitome of glamorous perfection.

What are your must-have accessories to style your coffee table? Are you more edgy or playful with your decor? I'm probably a little of both, to be honest! If you want to see more home decor posts, let me know! I'm pretty obsessed with decorating my house at the moment, so I'd love to incorporate more home styling posts if you're interested.

custom floral phone case from caseapp + giveaway! [closed]

Monday, March 14, 2016

When I bought a new phone last year, the struggle was real to find a case that I absolutely loved for it. Call me Goldilocks, since the case for my phone has to be juuuust right. I'm ridiculously picky, since I want a cute case that's both unique and perfectly fits my personality. I wish I'd known about Caseapp back then! They're a company that let's you design a phone case from any picture you upload, or you can choose from one their fab designs (I love the leaves!) In addition to phone cases, you can design custom laptop skins, too!

The hardest part is deciding on what design you're going to use, since the possibilities are endless. I was all over the place deciding between all of the patterns, photos, and colors that I love, but in the end it was one of my favorite pieces of clothing that inspired my case! A romper that I bought from Asos last year in a robin's egg blue that's covered in a colorful floral pattern makes me so happy every time I see it in my closet. What better print to use for my case?! I took a picture of the pattern to use for my case and I'm in love with how it turned out. It's perfect for sprucing up my phone for spring!

It was so easy to upload the picture I chose, select a matte or glossy case (I went with matte), and with a few clicks, I was done! In less than a week I had my beautiful new custom case! The photo quality is incredibly sharp and the matte case is velvety smooth. If one-of-a-kind phone cases are your jam, Caseapp has you covered.

Caseapp was generous enough to give all of you a 20% off discount code (LIKESTOSHOP20) to use on their site for the next week. On top of that, they're letting me give away a Caseapp voucher for $40 on their site to one of you! All you have to do is enter through the Rafflecopter giveaway below by following She Likes to Shop on Bloglovin' and leaving me a comment letting me know how you'd design your custom case to fit your personality! The giveaway will run for a week and the winner will be randomly chosen and contacted via email if they've won. Good luck to everyone!

*Caseapp provided me with a phone case in exchange for this post. All opinions are my own, as always.

5 pale polishes to transition into spring

Monday, March 7, 2016

The snow is melting and temps are slowly rising- spring is creeping up on us! Before you know it, we'll be pulling our tanks and sandals out of storage. One of my favorite ways to welcome the new season is by switching from my my dark and broody nail shades to something fresh and light! In my collection, there are a few that are perfect for adding a pale dash of color to your fingers.

Find Me An Oasis // A white-based light blue that makes it looks like you've dipped your fingers straight into a cloud. The subtle brightness of it injects fun into your look and the blue tone pairs especially nicely with gold jewelry.

Limo-Scene // More pink than a nude, but more nude than a pink. It strikes that balance somewhere in between the two and screams classy. It doesn't wash me out, but it's also not too girly, which is probably why I've ended up liking this shade more than I thought I would.

Absolutely Shore (similar) // The greener cousin of the much-loved Mint Candy Apple, this color has fresh feeling that reminds of breathing in fresh spring air on the first day of the season that all of the windows are open in the house. *Inhale...ahhhhh...*

Chinchilly // Although pastels are perfect for spring, some people (myself included) love gray nail polish, no matter the season. This shades seems to work year-round and the I-go-with-everything quality of this color probably explains why it's one of the most worn colors in my entire collection.

Lilacism // Although it has lilac in the name, this shade pulls more blue than you would think. It's a gorgeous shade that I always get compliments on when I wear it. I wore for over 2 weeks recently (out of sheer laziness for redoing my nails) and it didn't seem to clash with a single thing that I wore during that time period. Always a win.

What's your favorite nail polish to pull out when the weather gets warmer? Hope everyone had a great weekend! I went out to dinner with my parents on Friday and Steve and I went snowboarding for the last time this season on Sunday. Who knows what we'll get into this spring. We started kayaking last summer, so I'm sure once it's warm enough we'll be filling our weekends with that!
